How to get to Germersheim
The most convenient airport for getting to Germersheim is Frankfurt Airport (FRA) (not Frankfurt Hahn). From there, you can easily travel to Germersheim by train via the Mannheim Main Station.
Detailed information about the train stations at Frankfurt Airport can be found here.
Long-distance trains to the Mannheim Main Station (Hauptbahnhof) usually leave from track 5 or 6 (long-distance train station / Fernbahnhof, please check the time table!), and take about 30 minutes to get to Mannheim. In Mannheim, you will change to the S-Bahn to Germersheim at track 1 (runs every 30 minutes). The S-Bahn takes about 35–38 minutes to get to the Germersheim train station (Bahnhof).
At the Germersheim train station, you can take a taxi to the University, which is about one kilometer away. Just tell the driver to go to the Universität. Address: FTSK Germersheim, An der Hochschule 2, 76726 Germersheim.

Where to stay
A list of hotels in Germersheim can be found here (in German; an English version is available here). As Germersheim is a small town with limited accommodations, we strongly recommend making an early reservation. Outside of Germersheim, the town of Speyer also offers good options for places to stay; a list of hotels in Speyer can be found here. From Speyer, Germersheim can be reached by the S-Bahn train in just under 15 minutes; the university campus is a 15–20 minute walk from the Germersheim train station.
